I love to paint wildlife and am known, in particular, for my watercolour paintings of hares. I also enjoy painting in acrylic on large canvases, especially dramatic landscapes, huge cows, and, of course, hares.
I accept commissions in both watercolour and acrylic. Although my books are currently closed, in the past commissions have varied from pet portraits, house portraits, specific wildlife pictures, illustration and design projects and even a 1940s glamour girl on a piece of aircraft!
I exhibit periodically and a selection of my work is available online. In addition to original watercolours and acrylic box canvases, some of my work is available as limited edition prints and greetings cards. I also use mixed media for my mini canvases, an affordable way to buy original art. Decoupaging pages of ancient music paper or pages from “Punch magazine” from the 1870s, I then paint in acrylic on the primed surface.
My development, as an artist, has come from feedback and advice from friends , family and clients. They have requested subjects or commissioned work , often quite out of my comfort zone.
I have recently relocated from Salisbury to Leicestershire. I am in the process of establishing the support network and new print suppliers for Ginger Hare Art so my apologies for the current lack of social media engagement and some products. I am painting -pictures and furniture! (the latter for my new home.)
