Pet Portraits

Watercolour

This is my most popular portrait medium.

A head and shoulders portrait of your pet , on Saunders Waterford 100% Cotton, acid free, archival paper, measuring 410mm x 310mm or in imperial 16″ x 12”.

Pictures are unframed and unmounted, both are dependant on taste and your decor and a decision best left to you.

If you would like two or more dogs in the same painting I would recommend  a larger format, acrylic on canvas or to do two separate portraits, you are very welcome to discuss possibilities with me .

£150.

£100 for an additional dog or separate portrait of additional dog.

I have only mentioned dogs for simplicity. I have painted other pets, including cats, cockerels, cows and other animals on request including a stag, called Harry and a camel! I am versatile, if you think I may be able to help you with a commission please do not hesitate to contact me.

Acrylic on box canvas

The world is your proverbial oyster here, head and shoulders, standing, sitting, leaping! Size and format -A3  up to 4ft wide /tall square or rectangular , good quality deep edge canvas. No need to frame!

Prices start from £150, and depend upon the size of canvas , background etc, please do contact me to discuss options.

Postage /delivery costs will vary depending on the size of the canvas.

The Commission Process

I would be grateful if you could give me as much notice as you can if you require a portrait by a specific date. I will confirm at the time of providing a quotation, if this is achievable. I will need a good quality photograph /photographs so that we can discuss your requirements. I have written more about providing photos here

A quotation will be emailed to you  based on your portrait requirements and wishes. Once you have received your quotation, if you wish to go ahead  a £50 deposit is required. This will secure your booking and enable work to begin. Unless we have agreed a specified date, I will give you an estimate of when I think I will be able to complete the portrait and will confirm as work progresses.

When I am happy with the portrait, I will email a photograph of it to you for approval, if you require any adjustments to the work, these will be done .(Please be aware that alterations which can be made to a watercolour are very limited.) A revised photo will emailed to you for final approval.

I will then invoice for the outstanding balance, plus the cost for postage.

Art work will only be dispatched once payment has been received.

Please note that your deposit can only be refunded if you cancel your booking before work has started on your portrait.
